Cup-headed pin from Swansea Bay
This object was found on the intertidal zone of Swansea Bay by Gary May, a member of Swansea Metal Detector Club. These pins, of which this is an extremely large example, are characteristic of Late Bronze Age Ireland, c. 950-750BC, and are extremely rare in mainland Britain. This example represents the most westerly occurrence of the type.
